The central building of the hotel was built in the beginning of the 20 century as a boarding house adorned with a rich wood-carving decoration. There is another historic building in this area that housed the boarding house “Imperial” during Latvia’s first independence, but after the World War Two, the building was used by the All-Union Recreation Council.
As a result of the remodelling, the building was almost completely rebuilt. After the renovation works were completed in 2004, it houses the hotel “Eiropa Hotel & Restaurant”.
Today the surrounding area of the hotel “Eiropa Hotel & Restaurant” encompasses virtually all architectural styles characteristic to Jurmala, represented by 23 architectural monuments of national and local significance.
